 squaretrade ap6.0squaretrade ap6.0 very good condition 1850s c. british 22nd regiment of foot officers jacket. here is a rare oppurtunity to purchase an item of clothing from the british colonial wars of the mid 19th century. offered is a 22nd regiment of foot see regimental history below officers uniform jacket. great to see this specimen intact after more than a century and a half of being manufactured. all gilded brass buttons remain to chest and skirt, showing the numerals 22 on starburst, showing little wear. cloth is made of red lightweight wool, with white felt collars and cuffs. beautiful gold embroidery to collars and cuffs. outside of coat shows little if any wear, with minor marks to cloth, very minimal if any. slit watch pocket to belt area, with brass belt hook to left side. majors padded bullion rank crowns to both collars, with embroidered officers boards to shoulders. white infantry piping to centre cut. excellent overall. jacket interior is of lightly padded white cotton, with no seperation of arms from lining, very good in fact. remains of black silk collar guard, coming away. red leather stiffener remains to hips. brass hooks to throat and waist. largish size for the period, with measurements waist 78cm shoulder width 42cm arm inseam 52cm height body 80cm history of the 22nd regiment of foot the cheshires in 1689, henry, duke of norfolk, raised a regiment on the little roodee in chester in an effort to resist any attempt by james ii to re-take the english throne. for the early part of its formation, the regiment was known by the name of the current colonel-in-chief, later becoming known as the 22nd regiment of foot. in the same year that it was raised, the regiment saw its first action as part of a british force sent to ireland under the command of general frederick schomberg, 1st duke of schomberg, taking part in the siege and capture of carrickfergus. in 1690, the 22nd fought in the battle of boyne, and in 1691 at the battle of aughrim. the re

 squaretrade ap6.0 for auction is a good condition prussian hussars attila jacket, belonging to an officer in the czar nicholas ii of russia, 1st westphailian regiment see history below. vivid dark blue pile, very little discernible wear overall, with minor wear to cloth. lovely white cotton braid to chest, showing minor wear from use and all silver rosettes present, with brown oval buttons. full white braiding to cuffs, skirt and collar. minor wear to back of collar. officers lieutenants shoulder boards to both shoulders, with brown buttons. interior shows use, with age and sweat fading. right arm inner sleeve lining starting to show stitching seperation from white cotton lining easily reapired. solid stitching overall, with very little damage or other to jacket. please view all the relevant photos for specific details, points, which i am happy to clarify or give further details regarding. measurement waist - 88cm, shoulders width 40cm, arm inseam 50cm, top of collar to bottom of jaxket 76cm. these jackets were commonly worn by some of the early elite troops of the kaisers army, and were even worn into battle during the early months of ww1, before supplementary field grey jackets were issued or worn. this one shows use, but is in a good condition, given its age and obvious use in the field. the 1st westphalian regiment was raised in 1815 during the napoleonic war and fought with bravery during the franco prussian war of 1870, seeing active service in the encirclement of paris. during ww1, they saw early action in belgium amp action against the french and british at the marne, retreat from mons, the somme and other heavy engagements. they were transferred to the russian front in february 1915 and fought under command of hindenburg and saw action at the masurian lakes and on the outskirts of tannenburg. later in 1917, they returned to the western front, dismounted as assault troopers as part of the various elite guard cavalry regiments, who took part in the spring of
